1. Leggett Honored with Building Renaming: Leaders and community members joined a ceremony Monday as signage was unveiled to name the Executive Office Building in Rockville after former Montgomery County Executive Isiah “Ike” Leggett. Hundreds joined the event to name the building after the county’s first African American county executive. Full story here.
2. Sophomore Sensation Baba Oladotun: The DMV has long been a hotbed for basketball talent. One of the brightest lights shining out of Montgomery County is Baba Oladotun from James Hubert Blake High School.

3. Building Energy Performance Standards: County Councilmembers unanimously voted to establish regulations on energy performance standards for certain building types.
4. Takoma Park City Council: The Takoma Park City Council will have a meeting today starting at 7:30 p.m. at the Takoma Park Community Center. The meeting can be viewed in-person, on YouTube, the City Council video webpage, Facebook, or City TV. See the meeting agenda here.
5. ICYMI: For the past five years, members of Scotland AME Zion Church have worshipped in a dance studio, two other churches and their own parking lot. Not even flooding powerful enough to knock the church on Seven Locks Road in Potomac off its foundation was enough to keep this community apart.
