An adult female driver of a Kia Seltos SUV collided with the driver of a tractor trailer at Norbeck and Layhill Roads Friday afternoon.
The woman was pronounced dead at the scene.
According to Montgomery County Police officers, at 12:48 p.m., the woman was traveling north on Layhill when she collided with a tractor trailer that was headed east on Norbeck.
The tractor trailer became on top of the SUV and dragged it several hundred feet before stopping.
The intersection of Norbeck and Layhill Roads is expected to be shut down for several hours. Drivers are advised to seek an alternate route.
