Imagination Stage, a youth theater arts organization based in Bethesda, will hold its annual gala on Thursday, March 20, at 7 p.m. at the Andrew W. Mellon Auditorium in Washington D.C.
The event will celebrate Imagination Stage’s 10th anniversary of its Theatre for Change, which uses theater productions and educational workshops to explore social justice issues and teach them to future generations. Performances by Imagination Stage students and D.C.-based professional actors will take place throughout the evening.
The event will also aim to raise funds for Imagination Stage’s work across the Washington metropolitan area. Gala chairs in attendance will include notable figures such as Washington D.C. Mayor Muriel Bowser as well as lawyer Jessica Springsteen (no relation to Bruce.)
Event attire will be “Pink Spring Fling,” according to the event website. Complimentary valet parking will be provided. For those arriving at the gala by Metro, the closest stations are Federal Triangle on the blue, silver and orange lines, or Metro Center on the red line. A full map of the Metro system can be viewed here.
Tickets are $350 and can be purchased on the website. Tickets for parents of students performing at the gala are $150.
