6 Job Fairs for Summer Employment with County Recreation

Montgomery County Recreation seeks part-time employees for the 2025 summer season. Available positions include camp directors, assistant directors, counselors, lifeguards and more.

Several job fairs will take place in March and April at these locations:

  • Tuesday, March 11, 5:30 – 8 p.m. at Upper County Community Recreation Center
  • Saturday, March 22, 10 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. at White Oak Community Recreation Center
  • Saturday, March 22, 3 – 5:30 p.m. at Wheaton Community Recreation Center
  • Sunday, April 6, 10 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. at Silver Spring Recreation and Aquatic Center
  • Sunday, April 6, 2:30 – 5 p.m. at Nancy H. Dacek North Potomac Community Recreation Center
  • Friday, April 11, 6 – 8:30 p.m. at Long Branch Community Recreation Center

Applicants should bring their resumes, dress for success and prepare to discuss their experience. The department seeks dedicated, hardworking and motivated individuals. These hiring fairs welcome all applicants, regardless of their preferred work location. Register in advance at the Recreation website.

Part-time and seasonal employees start at $17.15 per hour and increases based on experience. Applicants must be at least 16 years old at the start of camps. Lifeguards must be at least 15. The department encourages bilingual applicants to apply.

All employees must pass a criminal background investigation, including state, federal and sex offender background checks.
