Rockville Man Charged with Making Threats of Mass Violence

Bryan Daniel Eyers, 37, of Rockville, was arrested March 11 by Rockville City Police officers and charged with three counts of making threats of mass violence.

Eyers is also charged with two counts of making a threat to injure an official and three counts of violating an extreme risk protection order. He also is charged with obstructing and hindering.

All nine counts are misdemeanors and related to an incident on Feb. 27.

According to Rockville City Police Public Information Officer Lt. Daniel Romeril, his department was notified by a member of the clergy that Eyers was making threats to several people, including the board of the Homeowners Association where he lived, the management company and the law firm that represented them.

“There also was a brief threat” against President Donald Trump, according to Romeril.

Eyers “did not act out on anything,” he said.

Police officers searched his residence but didn’t locate any weapons. However, he is believed to have weapons, according to police.

Eyers already was in custody when Rockville Police arrested him.

Eyers’ preliminary hearing is set for April 29.
