Montgomery County will hold three education budget forums to discuss school funding, staffing, and equity. Council Vice President Will Jawando will host the events, joined by Montgomery County Public Schools (MCPS) Superintendent Dr. Thomas Taylor and Montgomery College President Dr. Jermaine Williams.
The first forum takes place virtually on March 13 at 6:30 p.m. In-person sessions follow at Springbrook High School on March 17 and Rockville High School on April 1, both at 6:30 p.m.
Discussions will cover school capacity, staffing, special education, and racial equity. Jawando emphasized the importance of community input, calling budgets “moral documents” that reflect priorities.
Residents can RSVP online to participate.
