1. Council President Briefing: Council President Kate Stewart will be joined by MCPD Commander Jason Cokinos during her media briefing at 11 a.m to discuss efforts that have helped reduce crime in Downtown Silver Spring. Watch live on the Council’s Facebook page.
2. Public Meeting on School Boundary Study: MCPS is conducting boundary studies and wants community input. A virtual public information session will be held tonight for residents to learn more and ask questions. The session will be recorded and available online afterward.

4. Food Waste Prevention Week: Manna’s Community Food Rescue, the DC Food Recovery Working Group, the Montgomery County Food Council, and Food Rescue US – DC are hosting free in-person and virtual events through April 13. 5. County Curbside Recycling Expansion: By year’s end, all households with county-provided curbside recycling will be able to recycle electronics and batteries. The program, which began phasing in during 2022, was highlighted at a media event Friday. Read more here.
