Police report a man died and a woman was left in critical condition after a single-car crash on sSunday in Gaithersburg.
25-year-old William Giovanis Vasquez of Prince George’s County was pronounced dead at the scene, according to the Montgomery County Police Department (MCPD).
According to police, Giovanis Vasquez was driving a Ford Mustang and crashed into a tree in the 300 block of Travis Avenue just after midnight. Police said he was driving when “for reasons still under investigation” he struck the median, went into the opposite lanes, and struck a large tree.
A woman who was riding in the car was taken to a hospital in critical condition.
