1. Girl Power Contest Deadline: Friday is the final day to enter the Girl Power Contest, which is open to all Montgomery County residents ages 5 and older. Participants can submit a short story, poem, drawing or other creative work. Read more here.

3. Annual Egg Hunt at Wheaton Regional Park: Officers from the Wheaton District Police Department, in partnership with Montgomery Parks, will host a community egg hunt on Saturday at Wheaton Regional Park. Families are invited to join in the fun. Details here.
4. Maternal Health Fair: Saturday’s “Right from the Start” event at Holy Cross Hospital in Silver Spring is now full and not accepting any more registrations. The community gathering focuses on Black maternal and child health and features expert speakers and the debut of the Community Impact Awards.
5. Police Awards Ceremony: The Montgomery County Police Department honored officers Wednesday during a ceremony at Public Safety Headquarters in Gaithersburg
And one more thing: The county’s Recreation Job Fair scheduled for Friday, April 11 has been canceled due to overwhelming response to the fairs held in March. However, the Recreation Department still encourages interested candidates to apply online for summer jobs. Learn more.
