The Montgomery County Board of Education delayed its final vote for students’ return to in-person learning until Dec. 15. MCPS plans to bring students back for in-person instruction in phases beginning Jan. 12, 2021, if specific health metrics are met.
While some local parents say the virtual learning platform is safe and has been working for their families, others express the need for students to return to in-person learning, according to the Montgomery County Council of Parent-Teacher Associations.
