Montgomery Parks is cosponsoring a new program that will teach residents how to grow their own food. MoCo Grows is a free, three-day gardening education event that provides needed tools for every growing experience level.
The event will take place from June 4-6. The program includes eight interactive workshops for beginning and experienced gardeners, demonstrations, as well as panel discussions focusing on food insecurity and racial disparities within the food system. There will also be continuous #MoCoGrow challenges all summer long.
Attendees will have the opportunity to connect with neighbors who are beginning their gardening journey and have access to various county resources.
