Montgomery County is under a flash flood watch issued by the National Weather Service until 10 p.m. Monday. Showers and thunderstorms are expected Monday afternoon and evening. The storms may produce a few inches of rain in a short period of time resulting in streams and creeks overflowing their banks.
The National Weather Service issues a flash flood watch when there is a risk of flooding, a warning is issued when flooding is actually occurring.
A Flash Flood Watch is in effect from 2pm this afternoon through 10pm this evening. Showers and strong thunderstorms will develop and push eastward across the region.
