A visitation to pay respect to the late Patricia O’Neill, who died Tuesday at 71, is set for Saturday, according to her obituary.
The family of O’Neill has suggested, in lieu of flowers, that the public honor her memory by making a contribution to the Montgomery County Public Schools Educational Foundation.

O’Neill’s cause of death is currently unknown. According to the Washington Post, her husband of 49 years, Rick O’Neill, said his wife died at home suddenly while watching a Montgomery County Council meeting. “She slumped over and could not be resuscitated by paramedics,” he told The Post.
Visitation for O’Neill takes place between 4 to 7 p.m. at the Pumphrey Funeral Home located on Wisconsin Avenue in Bethesda. O’Neill was the longest-serving member of the MCPS Board of Education.
