Today is Friday, Dec. 10 and here are five things to know in Montgomery County.
1. Hogan Expands Booster Eligibility: Governor Larry Hogan announced Thursday all 16- and 17-year -olds are eligible to receive a booster shot in Maryland.
2. Legislative Breakfast: The Committee for Montgomery’s 32nd Annual Legislative Breakfast takes place this morning from 7 to 9 a.m. at the Marriott Conference Center in North Bethesda.
3. Small Business Grant Program: Today is the last day for business affected by the Purple Line construction to apply for grants.

4. Santa’s Coming to Town: Volunteer fire departments in the county continue their annual Santa Runs this year. Here is a list of Santa runs we were able to find:
- The Hillandale Volunteer Fire Department will follow the Hamptons Route and Jackson Route starting at 6:30 p.m. tonight and will follow the Hollywood/Tamarak Route Saturday starting at 5:30 p.m.
- The Gaithersburg-Washington Grove Volunteer Fire Department will be visiting neighborhoods Saturday and Sunday.
- Here’s the Rockville Volunteer Fire Department schedule. Tonight they are scheduled to visit New Mark Commons and Rose Hill neighborhoods.
- The Sandy Spring Volunteer Fire Department begin their Santa visits next Saturday, December 18.
- The Cabin John Park Volunteer Fire Department plans to visit Avenel, River Road Estates, Williamsburg Estates, The Village, Williamsburg Gardens, and Concord Saturday. On Sunday they will visit Cabin John, Cabin John Park, Evergreen, and Congressional Country Club Estates. Here’s their complete schedule.

5. Holiday Open House: Gov. Larry Hogan and First Lady Yumi Hogan host a Holiday Open House Saturday from 1-4 p.m. at the Government House in Annapolis.
And One More Thing: BlackRock Center for the Arts in Germantown hosts an afternoon of workshops, outdoor and indoor performances and a community sing-a-long Saturday from noon to 6 p.m. Registration is required for the Ho Ho Hip Hop Workshop for ages 7-13 at noon and the Improv Workshop for ages 18 and older at 1 p.m.
