Funeral events for Brigadier General Charles McGee, one of the last surviving members of the famed Tuskegee Airmen, were held over the weekend. McGee died peacefully in his sleep on Jan. 16. Viewings were held at Gawler’s Funeral Home in Washington D.C. on Saturday. A memorial service took place at the North Chevy Chase Christian Church on Sunday afternoon. Many gathered for a final salute to a great American hero.
