Montgomery County provides residents with low cost health services through a partnership with the National Association of Counties (NACO). In 2004, the county began offering free prescription discount cards. The program has saved residents more than $32 million since the program began.
In 2017, the county joined NACO’s Live Healthy program which expands on the prescription discounts to help residents save money on the cost of dental and health care services. The program, which is administered by CVS Caremark, also includes discounts on vision care, hearing aids and screenings, lab work, and diabetic supplies.
