It’s Tuesday, Oct. 30 and Halloween is tomorrow. Make sure you have your candy and costume at the ready! Here are five things to know in Montgomery County.
1. Emory Grove Early Childhood Center Grand Opening: Today at 1 p.m., Montgomery County Public Schools is holding its grand opening ceremony for the Emory Grove Early Childhood Center in Gaithersburg. The center offers full days of school to 80 prekindergarten students who are about 4-years-old. Superintendent Jack Smith, County Councilmembers, and school board officials will attend the ceremony.
2. Youth Town Hall: Montgomery County Council is hosting its first of two Youth Town Halls tonight from 7 to 8:30 p.m. at Clarksburg High School, located on 22500 Wims Road in Clarksburg. Private and public school students are encouraged to attend to talk to the council about issues affecting young people.
3. Fiscal 2021 Forum: Montgomery County Executive Marc Elrich is hosting a public forum tonight at 7 p.m. to discuss the fiscal 2021 Operating Budget priorities. Tonight’s forum is at the Silver Spring Civic Building.
4. Chevy Chase Village Halloween Party: Montgomery County has a number of fun Halloween events today and tomorrow. Tonight from 5:30 to 7 p.m. Chevy Chase Village residents can attend a free Halloween party at the Chevy Chase Village Hall.

5. Donate Spare Candy: Germantown Dental Service, located at 19513 Doctors Drive, is accepting extra Halloween candy which will be donated to Operation Gratitude to support the troops. Here is more information.
