March is Women’s History Month.
To celebrate, here are a few events occuring this month in Montgomery County.
Montgomery County Commission for Women is hosting its fifth annual “Girl Power Contest” where residents of the county can submit their answer to the given question through a medium of their choosing.
Submissions are accepted until March 31 at midnight and four winners will be announced April 29.

Montgomery County Public Libraries (MCPL) will host writer and researcher Julianne Mangin March 12 for a virtual lecture on a hidden feminist commune in Colesville in the 1900s.
The event runs from 2-3 p.m. and participants will need to sign in to Zoom to attend the program.
MCPL is also offering a virtual seminar on investing for women March 22 from 2-3 p.m. led by a staff member from the Securities and Exchange Commission.
