Health insurance plan Maryland Health Connection had a record-setting 182,861 Maryland residents enroll for coverage in 2022, according to a press release from the office of the governor.
Enrollment increased by 10 percent from 2021, according to the release.
“We were proud to be one of just four marketplaces that extended open enrollment in response to the Omicron surge,” Governor Larry Hogan said in the release. “Among the many lessons of the pandemic is the importance of having affordable, reliable coverage, and Marylanders are getting covered in record numbers.”
