5 Things to Know Today, March 28, In Montgomery County

Today is Monday, March 28 and here are five things to know happening in Montgomery County today.

1. Council President Briefing: Council President Gabe Albornoz will hold a media briefing today at 11 a.m. to discuss Council matters and a recap of Sunday’s “HERtime2shine” youth sports event. Public Health Manager Sean O’Donnell will provide a COVID-19 update. The briefing will be streamed on the Council’s Facebook page here.

2. Rockville City Hall Reopens:  The City of Rockville reopens City Hall today. Visitors must enter through the main entrance. Face coverings are optional. More information is available at Rockville’s website.

3. Municipal Monday:  The Gaithersburg Mayor and Council meet tonight at 7:30 p.m. for a worksession. The meeting will primarily focus on the proposed fiscal year 2023 budget. The Rockville Mayor and Council meet at 7 p.m. The agenda and information may be found online.

4. Responsible and Effective Policing: The League of Women Voter’s hosts a virtual presentation on civilian oversight of law enforcement tonight at 7 p.m. Register to join the conversation on Zoom or watch live on the league’s Facebook page.

5. Spotlight on Kensington:  Tune in tonight at 9 p.m. to see WETA’s ‘If You Lived Here’ house-hunting series featuring Kensington. Another way to watch is on the WETA livestream at 8 p.m.
