To celebrate Earth Day, Montgomery County Commuter Services will host GreenFest at Brookside Gardens on April 23 from 11 a.m.-5 p.m.
The event is free and is one of the largest Earth Day festivals in the country. It “is a chance for residents, businesses, and nonprofits to share ideas, learn together, and have fun,” according to their website.
It features the following activities:
- Face painting
- Interactive musical petting zoo and games
- Kid’s tree climbing
- Plant and tree giveaways
- Green Arts and Crafts Fair
- Over 60 exhibitors featuring environmental nonprofits
- Children’s yoga
- Electric vehicle and car show
- Food trucks (vegan options available)
