Montgomery County Public Schools (MCPS) will host a mental health forum Tuesday for students and their families at Seneca Valley High School. The event will take place from 6:15- 8:30 p.m.
Parents will be able to share information with MCPS staff and learn about mental health resources available for their children.
Students will have the opportunity to discuss any issues and challenges they may be experiencing with licensed therapists.
Attendees can also participate in a resource fair and breakout sessions that include signs of suicide and suicide prevention, anxiety and depression in students, restorative justice, trauma and its impacts on the brain, dialectical behavior therapy, and mindfulness and meditation.
The mental health forum is a partnership between MCPS and Montgomery County Department of Health and Human Services.
