Ahead of the 2022 gubernatorial primary election on July 19, early voters headed to the polls in Damascus on Wednesday.
MyMCM spoke with voters at the Damascus Community Recreation Center about the issues driving their votes.
As of 3 p.m., 101 residents had voted as this location and a total of 2,430 votes were cast across the 14 early voting sites, according to an unofficial count from the Montgomery County Board of Elections.
Montgomery County Council President Gabe Albornoz said Tuesday– day six of early voting — that he was concerned with the low voter turnout.
Early voting in Maryland runs through Thursday, July 14 .
