Leadership Montgomery honored several local businesses for their volunteerism in the county at the annual Corporate Volunteer Awards Luncheon in Potomac.
Rob Scheer, the master of ceremonies for the event, is the founder of Comfort Cases, a non-profit that provides duffel bags with toiletries and other essentials to children in foster care. Scheer said most children have to otherwise use trash bags for their belongings.
