Good Counsel (5-1) hosts Gonzaga (4-3) in MCM’s High School Football Game of the Week. Both schools are among the best private or public football programs in the entire DMV. Good Counsel, which is nationally ranked, is the top-ranked team in the latest Washington Post Top 20 poll. Gonzaga is 8th after losing to DeMatha last week.
Three years ago, the teams played one of the most memorable games in local football history. Good Counsel beat then number one-ranked Gonzaga 42-35 in five overtimes on Oct. 12, 2019.
