Former Tuskegee Airman Charles McGee was honored Feb. 5 at NASA Headquarters during a Black History Month program about the general. McGee was recently appointed to Brigadier General by President Donald Trump and was recognized during the State of the Union Address on Feb. 4.
McGee said “it was a real thrill” to be honored by Trump. He was also honored at the Super Bowl on Feb. 2 during the coin toss. He handed the coin to NFL Referee Bill Vinovich for him to toss.
To young people who want to be trailblazers like McGee, he offers his “Four P’s”: perceive, prepare, perform, and persevere.
