More than 150 people die every day from overdoses related to synthetic opioids such as fentanyl. The county has experienced a 120% increase in fatal teen overdoses since 2021, according to the school system. The majority of the deaths associated with overdoses are fentanyl related.
MyMCM explores the opioid crisis that is gripping Montgomery County and the entire country with two special presentations.
The first presentation, hosted and produced by Andrea Sarralde, is presented in Spanish and debuts Wednesday at 9 p.m. on Comcast cable channels 21 and 995, MyMCM’s Facebook page and YouTube channel.
