The Montgomery County Department of Transportation is holding an in-person meeting about a Carroll Avenue separated bike lanes project that would add a bikeway to Carroll Avenue between Merrimac Drive and Piney Branch Road.
The meeting is March 7 from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. at New Hampshire Estates Elementary School, 8720 Carroll Avenue, Silver Spring.
The design is in the beginning stages and several concepts will be presented at the meeting. The project will be designed to provide a way for cyclists to get to the Purple Line Station at the Takoma/Langley Transit Center.
Meeting materials will be in English and Spanish, and Spanish translation will be available at the meeting.
Prior to the meeting, the public is encouraged to review the proposal files on the project website here.
