Two months ago, Rockville’s Regal Cinema was slated to be one of 39 locations around the country – and three in our area – to close as part of a bankruptcy filing by Regal’s parent company Cineworld.
The leases for the theaters were supposed to be abandoned on February 15, but nothing happened.
The theater it still open and according to Store Reporter, that will continue for the foreseeable future. The Rockville location is still on the website and employees told Store Reporter that movies are booked through at least the end of the summer.
MyMCM reached out to Regal Cinema for more information, but did not hear back.
