MCPS is hosting its 2nd annual Youth Climate Summit on Saturday April 22 at Tilden Middle School.
The full-day conference will teach middle and high school students about climate change and give them tools to develop a Climate Action Plan for their communities. There will also be various speakers and workshops showing how to get involved in the climate movement.
Some of the confirmed speakers represent the NASA Goddard Space Flight Center, the MCPS Division of Sustainability and Compliance, the NOAA Chesapeake Bay Office and other local environmental organizations.
Registration closes on April 20, and students must use their MCPS accounts to access the registration form. All students who participate will also receive student service learning (SSL) hours.
Transportation will be provided by MCPS electric buses.
