To celebrate Earth Month, the City of Rockville will waive permit fees for certain eco-friendly home improvements in support of its Climate Action Plan during the month of April.
Fees incurred from the residential installation of solar photovoltaic power systems, electric vehicle charging stations and upgrades for energy-efficient heating and cooling, will be assessed by Rockville’s Inspection Services Division and waived by the city.
After residents submit their applications by the Sunday, April 30 deadline, the applications must be accepted by city staff by 5 p.m. Monday, May 1 for the permit fees to be waived. The application can be found online here.
