County Councilmember Will Jawando announced his run for U.S. Senate on Tuesday.
“I think this is a unique opportunity, it’s a generational change,” Jawando told MyMCM on Tuesday. “Senator Cardin has served our state for nearly six decades so well, but now we have an opportunity to have an election and have a senator with a bold, progressive vision. I think I have that and that is what I will be making my case to voters about.”
On Monday, U.S. Sen. Ben Cardin announced he will not run for reelection in 2024.
