For the fourth year in a row, there will not be a Wings of Fancy Live Butterfly and Caterpillar exhibit at Brookside Gardens in Wheaton.
“We decided not to run Wings of Fancy this year, because at the point in the planning process when we had to make that decision, we had staffing shortages and supply chain issues. We were concerned we would not have the appropriate resources to run the exhibit,” explained Melissa Chotiner, Montgomery Parks spokesperson.
Brookside Gardens does have an outdoor butterfly garden and offers information on how to attract butterflies to a home garden.
The exhibit was not held during the pandemic and has yet to reopen.
