Police identified the 20-year-old victim in a Sunday homicide in downtown Silver Spring, in a release from the Montgomery County Police Department (MCPD).
20-year-old Jedidiah Kehiku Ogboi-Gibson of Laurel was pronounced dead at the scene. Previously, police said a person was found dead after a reported shooting in the 1300 block of Fenwick Lane.
In Monday’s release, MCPD said officers responded to the location and found Ogboi-Gibson with an apparent gunshot wound in the Fenwick Lane parking lot. Several unoccupied cars were struck in the shooting.
Police said an autopsy will officially determine cause and manner of death.
Currently, there is no suspect in custody.
