The Legislative Black Caucus of Maryland will hold a Town Hall on Tuesday, June 27, from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Montgomery College Cultural Arts Center to discuss the 2023 Legislative Session and the bills passed impacting Black Marylanders, according to the Montgomery County Democratic Party (MCDCC).
With 64 elected members, the Legislative Black Caucus of Maryland is the largest Black Caucus in the country. Its priority areas for the 2023 Legislative Session include increasing wealth and improving health outcomes, education equity and access to housing. It also will focus on advancing justice reform and cannabis legislation.
The public will have the opportunity to engage with seven Montgomery County representatives of the Maryland General Assembly and learn about what they’ve done and are planning to do for the community:

- Delegate Gabriel Acevero, District 39
- Delegate Charlotte Crutchfield, District 19
- Delegate Bernice Mireku-North, District 14
- Delegate Pam Queen, District 14
- Delegate Greg Wims, District 39
The Montgomery College Cultural Arts Center is located at 7995 Georgia Ave. in Silver Spring. There will be refreshments provided at 6 p.m., and the program will begin at 6:30 p.m. The event is free and open to all who RSVP here.
