Two minors were arrested for brandishing weapons at the Silver Spring Metro Station on July 10, according to Metro Transit Police.
A BB-gun and a fully loaded handgun were recovered from the juveniles. Both individuals fare evaded onto the metro. No injuries were reported.
The individuals were eventually arrested at the Fort Totten Metro Station in Washington DC.
Fort Totten is a popular transfer station between the Red and Green lines. Three months ago, Fort Totten was shut down for a day due to a suspicious package found in a nearby park.
In April, MTPD chief Michael Anzallo stated that crime at 25 stations, including Fort Totten, was down 20 percent, according to a DCIST article.
