A man charged with shooting and killing a man in a Silver Spring parking garage last weekend will remain held without bond.
Ramone Christopher Ramsay, 30, waived his bond hearing so he will remain held without bond until trial, according to an update from the Montgomery County State’s Attorney’s Office (MCSAO).
The bond hearing was scheduled for Thursday afternoon, according to online case information. A preliminary hearing is scheduled for Aug. 11.
According to police, Ramsay was arrested Wednesday and is accused of fatally shooting 21-year-old Kymani Elijah Bailey, of Baltimore, while Bailey was walking with a group of people in a county parking garage in the 900 block of Silver Spring Avenue on July 8.
Detectives reviewed surveillance inside the garage and got images of Ramsay. They learned he was kicked out of an area nightclub shortly before the shooting, per the Montgomery County Police Department (MCPD).
He is charged with first-degree murder and related charges.
“There is no known connection between the suspect and the victim,” according to police.
Ramsay has no known address, according to police.
