The three-day Kensington Paint the Town Labor Day art show and sale takes place this year Sept. 2-4. The organizers transform the historic Kensington Armory into a showcase for local artwork. Visitors may experience live art demonstrations, purchase large and small pieces of original artwork, live music, and get a bite to eat from food trucks.
The Montgomery Art Association (MAA), in partnership with the Town of Kensington, organizes the show which opens at 7 a.m. Saturday, Sept 2 and closes Monday, Sept. 4 at 5 p.m. The Kensington Armory is located at 3710 Mitchell Street. The event is free and open to the public.
Artists may register two pieces of artwork in various categories: landscape, still life, photography, portraits, abstract, and sculpture. Registration is open now through Aug. 5. Interested artists may find more information and register on the MAA website.
