Bethesda Big Train won the Cal Ripken Sr. Collegiate Baseball League championship Thursday night with a 7-3 win over the Alexandria Aces. It’s the 10th time Big Train has won the championship.
Catcher/outfielder Jason Schiavone, who plays for JMU and is a Laytonsville resident, won the Championship League Outstanding Player honors.
