Police said a 12-year-old girl was injured after she was shot while inside her home in Germantown late Sunday.
Police responded to the 12700 block of Sesame Seed Court at about 11:22 p.m. Sunday for a reported shooting, according to the Montgomery County Police Department (MCPD).
According to MCPD, shots were fired near the address and one round struck a 12-year-old girl in the foot while she was inside her residence.
She was taken to a hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. Police stated the scene was secured and there is no current threat to the public.
No suspects are in custody, according to MCPD.
