1. Back to School Day: MCPS welcomes students to a new school year! Today close to 162,000 students will walk through school doors to begin the 2023–2024 school year.

3. Youth Advisory Council: Applications for the S.M.A.R.T. Youth Advisory Council are due on August 28 and can be found here.
4. Preschool Storytime: At Aspen Hill Library from 10:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. A storytime experience for preschool-age children and their caregivers. These 30-40-minute programs are full of a diverse collection of books, songs, rhymes, and fun activities. They are designed to introduce your child to the culture of reading and help develop the skills your child will need to be ready for school.
