Labor Day is a federal holiday to honor the contributions of American workers. WalletHub recently released its report on the hardest-working states in the country and ranks Maryland at number 11.
WalletHub compared two key dimensions, “Direct Work Factors” and “Indirect Work Factors,” with subcategories for each, in order to determine each state’s score. The report gave Maryland a 54.88 total score, making it the eleventh hardest-working state in the country. Maryland ranked second in average commute time, which is an indirect work factor.
