2. 247th Birthday: Montgomery County was formed on Sept. 6, 1776. It is the first Montgomery County in the country, Chief Administrative Officer Richard Madaleno said during a media briefing last week.
3. Fall Twilight Concert Series: From 6-7:30 p.m., Montgomery Parks will host an evening of bluegrass featuring The High and Wides as part of its free Fall Twilight Concert Series at Brookside Gardens in Wheaton.
