The deadline to register to vote in the 2024 Presidential General Election is fast approaching. Montgomery County residents must submit their voter registration by Tuesday, Oct. 15, to be eligible to vote in the Nov. 5 election.
Citizens can register online, by texting “VOTE” to 77788, or by visiting the Montgomery County Board of Elections. To qualify, you must be a U.S. citizen, a Maryland resident, and at least 16 years old, though only those 18 by Election Day can vote. Same-day registration will also be available during early voting and on Election Day. For more information, visit www.777vote.org.

Additional voter registration options
Individuals without a Maryland driver’s license, ID card, or Learner’s Permit can download a voter registration application from www.777vote.org. Completed applications should be mailed to the Montgomery County Board of Elections. Voter registration applications can also be requested by calling 240-777-8500. Same-day registration will be available during early voting from Oct. 24–31 and on Election Day, Nov. 5.
