Adventure Theatre MTC will offer free tickets to furloughed and laid-off federal employees for its April 27 performance of Charlotte’s Web. The show starts at 11 a.m. at the theater in Glen Echo Park.

The play, based on E.B. White’s classic book, is recommended for ages 4 and up. Tickets usually cost $25 but will be free for affected federal employees and contractors. Families can reserve tickets using promo code FED25 at www.adventuretheatre-mtc.org or by calling 301-634-2270. Attendees must provide the name of their former department and their furlough or termination date.

Sarah Chapin, managing director, said the theater wants to support families facing financial uncertainty.

“Theatre has the power to uplift,” Chapin said. “We hope this experience brings some support during a difficult time.”

Adventure Theatre is located in Glen Echo Park at 7300 MacArthur Blvd.

Charlotte’s Web opens April 25. Children under one can attend for free. Birthday party, group, and field trip rates are available.
