The Montgomery County Animal Services and Adoption Center hosts “Let Freedom Ring” from June 30 to July 7, according to a press release from the county.
Sponsored by Friends of Montgomery County Animals, it offers fee-waived adoption for dogs over 40 pounds and small animals.
The adoption process starts with an online questionnaire and submitting necessary items listed on the website. Adoptions are first-come, first-served basis. You can also make an appointment.
Potential adopters receive a voucher valid through July 14 if they submit all required items but cannot make an appointment. Potential adopters can also receive a voucher if they walk in to adopt during a shelter’s hours and no counselor is available.
