The Small Press Expo Festival (SPX) was a big hit Sept. 9 and 10 at the Bethesda Marriott Hotel and Convention Center in North Bethesda. The two-day gathering of artists and publishers who produce independent comics is the largest festival in the country. The festival provides artists, writers and publishers of comic a forum to present their art to the public.
More than 500 creators and publishers exhibited their work at this year’s festival.
