The event, which will take place at Aspen Hills Christian Church from 10:30 a.m. to noon, is geared towards residents of MCPD’s 4th District, chiefly in Wheaton.
According to an announcement from MCPD, the event has “no agenda” and will give residents an opportunity to “speak with officers about [their] concerns” and learn about various programs that police have implemented to address crime.
The event is similar to many community policing programs across the country, including Coffee With a Cop, that aim to foster better relationships between community members and police officers.
No sign-up is required for the event, and the announcement urges attendees to bring neighbors and friends.
