Friday, August 19
Montgomery County Agricultural Fair: The are just two days left of the annual Montgomery County Agricultural Fair. Families and friends can come out to enjoy the great food, games, and entertainment. Ticket pries and hours for Friday and Saturday can be found here, with other information such as performances, ride passes, vendors, and more throughout the website. Seneca Park Reptile Feeding: Lover of reptiles? From 1-1:30 p.m., come out to Seneca Creek State Park Park Office to learn about Maryland’s reptiles, including a corn snake, box turtle, and Diamondback Terrapin. The event is free to the public, and located at 11950 Clopper Road, Gaithersburg.
Lakefront Live: From 6-9 p.m., enjoy a night of great food, drinks, and a performance by Joe Falero Band for some Latin music. The event is 21+ and free to the public, aside from additional purchases. The location is 209 Boardwalk Place, Gaithersburg. More details on the event can be found here.
Parks PlayHouse: Improbable Comedy presents: Seltzer – A Comedy Show! From 6-9 p.m., enjoy a night of mocktails, food and laughs with host Jenny Cavallero—a D.C based comedian, filmmaker, and writer–and a lineup of comedians. The event is 17+, free to the public, and located at 7400 Tuckerman Lane, Bethesda (Cabin John Regional Park). For more information, click here.
Improbable Comedy presents “Seltzer: A Sober Comedy Show” on August 19th. At this alcohol-free event, enjoy mocktails and comedy with @goodboysoup, Sandi Benton, @EddieMorrison_, Aminah Imani, and host @jennycavallero.

Saturday, August 20
Dance for a Cause: Every Saturday, OneLife Fitness and Westfield Montgomery host a $5 fitness class where 100% of the proceeds go to Girls on the Run Montgomery County, a non-profit organization that empowers girls and young to be strong. The event runs from 9-10 a.m. and is open to participants age 11+ with an adult. Those 15+ do not need an adult. To register, click here. The address is 7101 Democracy Boulevard, Bethesda.
Aquatic Mammals of Clopper Lake: From 11 a.m. to 12 p.m., join members of the Seneca Creek State Park to look out for signs of beavers and otters and other creatures one may find along the way. The event is free to the public, all ages, and is located at the Quail Ridge Picnic Area at 11950 Clopper Road, Gaithersburg.
Afro-Latino Caribbean Day: From 12-6 p.m., enjoy a day of music, informative presentations, and great food. The event is free to the public, all ages, and located at the Sandy Spring Slave Museum at 18524 Brooke Road, Sandy Spring. To register and read more details on the event, click here.
Sunday, August 21
Jerk & BBQ Festival: Come out for a day of wonderful dishes, live entertainment, and a fashion show in Downtown Silver Spring from 1-9 p.m. The event is open to all ages and located at 1 Veterans Place, Silver Spring. For more information, click here.

Great Falls Boat Rides: Fan of boat rides? Join the Historic Great Falls Tavern on the Charles F. Mercer boat replica. The event is free to the public, with tickets being first come first serve one hour before the scheduled boat ride. The boat ride times available are 11 a.m. to 12 p.m. and 2-3 p.m. The event is located at the Great Falls Tavern Visitor Center at 11710 MacArthur Blvd, Potomac. For more details, read here.
Seneca Creek Park Fishing: Join an expert fisher for a beginners course in fishing at Seneca Creek State Park Boat Center, located at 11950 Clopper Road, Gaithersburg. The event runs from 8:30-10 a.m., and is free to the public and all ages.
