Rockville City Police are investigating the report of a woman being assaulted while on the bus.
A police spokesperson told MCM that on August 10 around 3 p.m. on the 1600 block of East Gude Drive, the 23-year-old victim was sitting on the bus when a woman and two men got on and began teasing her. The victim reports the female then started striking her in the face.
Fox 5 exclusively interviewed the victim who they identified as having autism. The victim told Fox 5 it began as friendly and moments later she found herself on the floor. The victim also described being, “still traumatized, terrified, scared, and stressed out.”
Once the bus came to a stop, the three individuals ran away in an unknown direction. The victim was treated for minor injuries and the case is still under investigation. Anyone with information is asked to call police 240-314-8938
